Christmas sleeping and Happy New Year

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
It seems every year after the holidays I disappearance a little.
I don’t really know why it happens? Maybe it started on Christmas itself.
I slept more then I have in months.
We had no where to go so no pressure there…..so I just went with it.
I could have slept all day if it wasn’t for needing to eat.
I know you might think I was going into some kind of post Christmas depression
but I just needed

to SLEEP!!!!

ahhh love that feeling of drowsiness just between consciousness and dreamland.
I’d been waiting a long time to have a day like that.
I have days now to reflect on how the season went, what I need to do better, what I did well ( pat on back)
there is always a bigger list of things I need to do better.
It may seem like a long time before Christmas comes back around again but
for many of us in this business it starts back again in the next few weeks and for me in a month when I go back to NYC for the gift show. I had wanted to travel to the Atlanta show this year but decided against it. Maybe when I can talk someone into traveling with me.

any takers?

I hadn’t planned on babbling so much………
sorry
see what happens when I get cabin fever.

I’ve been working on plant orders that I missed doing in the Fall. I don’t know how I did that?
Yes I do,
I forgot!!!!
So now I’m paying the price of having to get them done now. It’s just after Christmas and thoughts and plans for Spring and
Christmas 2012 are on my mind.
It could be worse…..I love Spring, flowers, and Christmas so what am I complaining about?

Christmas home_31 2011

I’m still not completely done decorating the house.
So if and when I am I’ll try to show more.

I noticed today that my lense is oh sooo dirty so I’m running to the store
after I post this to get some lense cleaner.

tree

Probably should have taken a different angle of the tree without the chair in the way.
I love the way this tree came out with touches of blue.
It’s a nice change from what we usually do in this room….though there is not a stitch of blue in here.

greetings

I’ve had this seasons greeting swag from Sarah Lugg for years and decided to try it on the tree.

Don't be so hard to yourself, dear Carole! I'm sure there were a lot of more things you did well. You might have just forgotten about them, like about the order ;-).
Your tree looks huge and it's beautifully decorated! Hopefully you find some time to enjoy it.
Happy New Year, sweet friend!

Julia

So glad Christmas is over and we can all sleep! And stop stressing! Oh how I look forward to Spring, though it seems like an eternity from now. If only Spring and Summer weren't so short here in the northeast. At least we haven't had much in the way of cold weather, though it appears all that is about to change.

TGIF!

P.S. Oops can't leave without saying something about your gorgeous photos in this post. Your tree is awesome and that sparkling snow man to die for! I really love that you are still not done with your Christmas decor while others have put it all away already, which I think is much too early. I'm alao still enjoying my tree and all the other festive decorations inclusive your gifts far too much and will have them up at least until next weekend.

it is wonderful just to let your hair down and relax and sleep...but I loved your hair pinned up yesterday.....
I took a three hour nap earlier after our fun party yesterday.
It looks like Christmas in your house has come too, and it looks wonderful!
Hoping to see more!
Carole, thank you again for all the beautiful gifts...I still marvel at that star....going " how does she do this?" Most of all, thank you for your friendship.
George is a "peach", so thoughtful....wanted to keep him, so he can train Ebbie, ha ha.
Boy, yesterday was fun!!!!!
To be repeated around Valentines Day.
Relax now and enjoy Christmas at your pretty house. It is never too late or too early to decorate for Christmas....as we hope to cary the spirit of the season into the new year.
Happy New Year to you and George,
love and hugs, Evi and Ebbie too

happy new year carole! go with what your body says it needs. perfection is an illusion we all try so hard to attain and we need to give ourselves some slack on that. sleep can be so delicious...
