Yes I’m still here!

Hope you are all enjoying the holiday season.
I looked this morning at the last time I posted….
                wow November 29th.
              Where does the time go????
You don’t have to answer that…..
I know it’s the same for all of us.
seems like a blink since I was here last year looking out at
            our Christmas tree lot.
I love this time of year.
yes and I am one of the weirdos that loves the cold…..
well with the right proper clothes on.
Would much rather have red rosy cheeks
then glowing sweat beads on my face.
I’m a December baby so thats maybe the reason

I’ve had so much to share with you but for now I will just
be sharing a few pics that I took last year.
Yup that’s my reflection in that blue ball.
                     Not a very professionally shot
                  but hey I’m no professional.

                                                                     hot pink close
             Just having fun!
                                                                pink bell
I think it’s time to pick out our own tree
                to bring home.
I usually leave it up toGeorge but he’s been waiting
          for me to pick it.

So after this post I think I will do
            just that!
                                                        purple
Have you gotten your tree yet???
        or decorated it?
                                                                 more
Do you go to a cut your own?
            or tree lot ?
           Or artificial ?

                                                                                balls with text
                     Boy am I nosey!!! lol
                                                                                                  decolored blue
Just got word that I have to go pick up more supplies….
so my tree picking will have to wait.
                 Customers first …
              me second!!!!
           Merry Christmas!!!!

Now wait just a cotton pickin' minute...somewhere...in all that you do...you got to make you some "me" time. Consider it a present from you to you!

I love these vintage ornaments, Carole. I have a few that have been passed down to me from family. :)
I am waiting to go out into the forest next week to cut a little tree and gather a few branches. If I bring them in too early, they will dry out too fast because our woodstove keeps things so warm!
Wishing you & George a lovely day,
Zuzu

Oh the tree - We did put ours up (artificial) and it's decorated but I'm glad I did it when I did it. It's a busy holiday this year and I haven't had time to do the rest of my decorating. We will both find time though, you for your tree, me for the rest of the house.

Lovely ornaments, Carole. I wonder if your birthday already happened or if it's later in the month. That will show how much catching up I have to do. Trying to decorate but I keep finding dust that absolutely has to be controlled. The cat is lounging in a nest of fairy lights...um. and it's only 11:15am. Eek. xo

Dear Carole,
Such pretty baubles and very vintage. They look as if they are laying in the glistening snow.
To answer your question, we ALWAYS have a real tree and we get it from the garden centre. You will be pleased to know that there were no mishaps this year....well, just one. As soon as we got to the garden centre, I saw a shuttered screen that I liked and we took it to the till and they held it 'till we had chosen the tree. Picking a nice tree is always a long job, as I get Chris to pull them out, hold them straight, turn them around and, he has to do this about 12 times until the best tree is found. This year took about 10 minutes and was easy-peasy.... RESUlT !! I went off to look at decorations and Chris went to look at secateurs. I then saw another screen that looked better so, hauled it up to the till (it was pretty heavy) only to br told that Chris had paid for screen and tree and had already piled them both into the car !!!! I made him get them out, bring back the screen (pretty heavy) and change it for the other one !! Not too much of a mishap....we have had much worse !!
Enjoy choosing your tree when you get a moment and I hope that it's more straight forward than ours was Carole. XXXX

Hi Carole!

Well you already know everything about my decorating. : D

Your shots are VERY professional dear one, they are gorgeous! I am lusting after those vintage bulbs big time! I only inherited one from my folks and one of the kids broke it about 10 years ago. I sat down and wept and then felt bad because they felt bad. If I had big bucks that's what I would collect for a 12' tree.

It's all so glorious and stressful and emotional at this time of year. No matter how we try to slow it down, it speeds up on us. So we miss you, but understand you are uber- busy.

Merry merry!

In Denmark, most of us, do cut our own tree, or buyes it cut-- we almost alwayes have real trees, and real candles on it--- they dot last ,so long then--bur they are beautifull, and smells so good :)

Carole your images are stellar. The pink ornament looks good enough to eat. Artificial tree for me just because I am allergic but I love real trees. ♥O

Good to hear from you again Carole and I love all your photos of the vintage ornaments....so pretty. I keep telling myself I don't need any more magazines, but you keep taunting me....just joking, it's my own personal problem.

Hope you can make some "you" time soon.

Take care,

Kathleen

You ARE a busy gal, aren't you, Carole? I don't know how you do it all! Love your vintage ornaments. They remind me of the ones my parents used to have. :) We've always had a real tree - from childhood to now. This year hubby and I were going to get a live potted one (more ecologically correct), but just scratched that idea and are just being happy with our little 3 footer in our living room in a galvanized bucket. :) Hope you found a great tree tonight!

Hi sweet friend, I wanted to e-mail you days ago but it had been a little bit crazy over here lately. I didn't even manage to comment on your last post although I had taken a short look. I go back now and will soak in all the prettiness of your Christmas shop :-).
To answer your question on the tree. We put up the artificial one this year and we both like it. It's decorated with whites, creams and silver ornaments and creations.
Have a wonderful Sunday, Sweetie!
XOXO,
Julia
PS: I was finally able to fix the picture problem of that one post

Good Morning! We are getting our tree this morning, we love to have snow on the ground when we go out to get it. We go to a wonderful farm near by that will take us out to the field on a wagon. The kids have snowball fights and play while we search for the perfect tree! Today we are getting a snow storm, it's not too bad yet, so we will be heading out soon. I hope you get some 'you' time this week...Theresa xoxo

It's all fake around our house! HAHA Especially with Heather. She hangs each one of those vintage ornaments and the bends the limbs up so she doesn't loose one. You would love her collection, with all of the pretty ones that you have. I especially love your silver and blues. Hope you are having a wonderful season at your shop.
Merry Christmas!

Hi Carol
It has been that kind of year, busy! I am trying to get my decorations up, by my schedule they should be up just in time for me to turn the key and head for Minnesota for Christmas. But I enjoy putting everything together but this mess I have been living with bugs me. Bins and boxes and tissue all over! I figure it will be done tonight or not at all :)
Hope all is well with you
Blessings
Rebecca
